This was the first book or more to say a novel, I read in my life. when I read other reviews about this book and also enquired with my friends, they were not very happy about this book but when I read this book I felt the same language which we are used to from Chetan's books, yes it is nowhere near to his works like "Five Point someone" or "2 States" but it isn t bad either, the way he gives background to each character and ties up all the loose ends together is what I like in this book as well, it also touches a few sensitive aspects of Gujarat but also explains how they impact business and people. you will be amazed to know i Completed it in 7 days. I couldn t control my excitement of what will happen next after reading each chapter. Some good points to understand especially Indian Politics and the most its dark side "political of religion and caste". Well of all I like trios book and uhh... What can I say more read it and have some time of excitement of what.Surely not only sex. much about emotions. A good piece by Chetan Bhagat. ....... --Vicky on 27 May 2015
This is one the best book of Chetan Bhagat I have read. Great plot & story-telling. You will not loose interest in any part of the book. At climax your heart will start pounding. About the Author
Chetan Bhagat is the author of four blockbuster novels, Five Point Someone (2004), One Night @ the Call Center (2005) The 3 Mistakes of life (2008) & 2 States (2009). All four books have remained bestsellers since their release and have inspired major Bollywood films. The New York Times called Chetan the the biggest selling English language novelist in India s history. Seen more as a youth icon than just an author, this IIT D/ IIMA graduate is making India read like never before. Time Magazine named him as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World. Chetan also writes op-ed columns for leading English and Hindi newspapers, focusing on youth and national development based issues. Hey people! this is for sure a third blockbuster from chetan bhagat......he is making india read like never before...an apt title for a writer like him.the book revolves around three friends of whom govind alone is ambitious, ish is passionate about cricket and omi who gives in to his friends all the time.Ali is an important part of the novel.This book talks about how religions influence politics and what outcomes turn up. i had tears in my eyes by the end. surely this was emotional and at the same time cheesy....just read it...I'm sure you'll love it

The 3 mistakes of my life

A word of caution: that you might find minor spoilers. The 3 mistakes of my life gives a nice perspective of life in Gujarat. The characters are three ordinary men who start a business venture and strive to make it big. They are the owners of a sports goods store. They have their own fears and philosophies in life. Omi fears he will end up being the priest of the temple. Ish fears he will never be able to live his dreams of being a cricketer through Ali. Vidya fears she will end up as one of those doctors who didn't want to be a doctor. Govind appears focused and ambitious though. The events happen amidst the Bhuj earthquake and the Godhra riots.
Chetan Bhagat's stories always involve a lot of drama at the end, and this one was no different. A fight scene at the end lasts for pages. Perhaps it is his style of writing. However this book lacks a background/characters from IITs and IIMs. Overall, it is nothing great, but definitely worth a read.
